The Carmen Holeman Trust auction will be held live over two-days at the Hamilton County Indiana Fairgrounds September 2 and 3, 2022. The auction will have multiple rings running both day and doors open at 8:00 and the auction starts at 10:00 AM. A special Preview will be held Thursday September 1 from 4-7PM. Mark and Carmen were married for 73 years, and met in Germany at the end of WWII. Mr. Holeman was a landscape architect and Carmen was head of the alterations department at William H Block Company. They purchased the Northside Indianapolis mansion in 1985 fully furnished after Katheryne Block passed. The Holemans were great patrons of the arts, regularly seen attending operas, symphonies, art fairs, exhibitions, all over the world. they were very generous with their time and talents and bequeathed many items to several Indiana Institutions. Mr. Holeman served on many boards at the Indianapolis Museum of Art and the Contemporary art gallery is the Carmen and Mark Holeman gallery. This auction will feature many decorative objects; vintage designer fashion, antique furniture, art work, rugs, bronzes, fine glass and china, custom made furniture a 2009 Jaguar XJ with only 4300 miles, and much much more. 100 Lots are selected for online bidding and the catalog can be found here.
